A seasoned IT professional, Rich Payne directs Avinti’s product development team, including overall product strategy and engineering operations. Payne brings to Avinti 16 years of experience applying technology to solve real-world, critical IT issues, in addition to managing teams that lead those efforts.
Previously, Payne served as Director of IT Operations for EMC Corporation’s Software Group, managing the division’s overall IT portfolio and resources. In addition to supervising the deployment of new IT solutions within the enterprise, Payne was responsible for transitioning EMC’s IT infrastructure through M&A changeovers, as well as forecasting the division’s technology budget.
Payne’s experience also includes tenure managing IT operations at high-availability solution providers Legato Systems Inc. and Vinca Corporation. At Legato Systems, Payne also managed the company’s business continuance efforts. Payne is an expert in networking technologies, operating systems, and IT security. He holds the MCSE accreditation.
