Virtual machines in iSolation Server open and execute e-mail attachments in an isolated, secure, virtual desktop environment and test them for suspicious behavior. They:
- Observe the actual behavior of e-mail attachments
- Quarantine messages with unusual or suspicious behavior
How does iSolation Server not become infected?
iSolation Server destroys and then reloads the virtual machine environment after testing in order to test additional attachments securely.
What behaviors are considered malicious?
iSolation Server tests attachments for a variety of malicious behaviors. Some of the most common include:
- Activating. Messages accessing operating systems to release their payload.
- Replicating. Messages infecting other machines by propagation.
