William Kilmer brings 15 years of experience in management, product marketing, strategy, and investment in the high technology industry and has worked with several startups in the security market.
Formerly the managing director Intel Capital Europe, Kilmer made venture capital investments in Europe, the U.S., Asia and Israel in networking, mobile technologies and enterprise software. His investments include:

- Entercept (now McAfee)
- Futuresoft (now Aricent)
- Dibcom
- Passave (now PMC-Sierra)
- Picochip
- Sarvega (now Intel)
Prior to Intel Capital, Kilmer worked as director of strategic marketing for Intel’s communications product group. Previously, he worked at several startups, including Dayna Communications, which was acquired by Intel in 1997.
Kilmer graduated in economics and computer science from the State University of New York and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He also holds an MBA from the Marriott School of Management and is currently completing his doctoral degree from Aston University in Birmingham, UK. He is also the author of the book Getting Your Business Wired a guide to networking technologies published by AMACOM books.
